Clueless Liberals Weigh In On Guns Control

Even before we knew the identity of the loser who shot up Umpqua Community College in Oregon, learned the identity of his victims, or the type of weapon he utilize to perpetrate his crime we had a volley of cluelessness hurled by President Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, candidate Hilary Clinton and a raft of drooling morons in the liberal media.

The talking points are familiar enough; the National Rifle Association has blood on its hands, we need “common sense” gun control laws, the second amendment had nothing to do with individual freedoms it was about militias, blah blah blah, yackity yackity.

Never one to let a good crisis go to waste, Obama practically sprinted to the microphone to once again politicize a mass shooting and proclaim the need for “common sense” gun legislation that would close the so called “gun show loophole”, with universal background checks and a band on so-called ‘assault weapons.” And this is where the rush to the camera tripped up the President; Oregon had already passed legislation to require background checks on all gun purchases, so it did not and would not have prevented the shooting at UCC.

Then the liberal pinwheels in the media started weighing in and pontificating about the need for more gun control. Amanda Marcotte, who regularly weigh in with the liberal take on things for Rolling Stone Magazine quickly served up 4Pro-Gun Arguments We’re Tired of Hearing. While all four are about what you’d expect from an uninformed moron, my favorite is number two which reads- “The only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun” in which she laughingly goes on to proclaim “No mass shootings in the past 30 years have been stopped by an armed civilian.” Which is laughable on its face; first she mixes her metaphors, I would argue that the UCC shooter was “stopped by a good guy with a gun.” In fact two of them! Armed officers put this loser down and prevented greater loss of life.

As to the armed civilian part of her stupidity, it’s pretty clear that in many cases, disaffected losers who are hell bent on trying to inflict mass damage have been stopped in their tracks by armed civilians before they can escalate to multiple killings. Perhaps that might take a bit more brain capability than Ms. Marcotte can muster.

The better argument would be to look at these mass killings as a whole. It seems more often than not that these killings take place in locations like UCC that freely post what amounts to an equivalent of a sign reading
Whack Jobs Welcome” when they choose to post “Gun Free Zone” signs; which is notable in the case of Oregon which is a state that allows for concealed carry. Imagine how different the outcome might have been.

Think about what prevents bad guys from busting in your front door and taking your stuff…the greatest weapon is doubt; not knowing exactly what might await them on the other side of the door. Ask folks like Ms. Marcotte to post a sign outside their homes that simple states “No guns on premise” and I bet you will get a whole different opinion on these gun free zone.

Common Sense Gun Control   

I love when politicians and the media start thumping their collective chests and proclaim the need for “common sense gun control”. What exactly is that? Please name the law that we can pass that would have prevented this loser from perpetrating this tragic loss of life? (Insert cricket sounds here.) Still Waiting…okay, let me help you out; the answer is that with over 20,000 state and federal guns laws on the books we have not prevented these mass killings so what would make you think that we could possibly concoct a law to prevent this kind of thing from happening again?

The National Review’s Charles Cook raise this very point when he twisted the entire Morning Joe panel on MSNBC in knots by asking that same question. Check out the video-

You got to wonder why is that Obama and his liberal pals in the media are SO outraged about the UCC shooting that left 9 victims dead and yet they haven’t really said a thing about the 15 murders over just last weekend in the President’s adopted home town of Chicago and the record 60! In the month of September. Could it have something to do with the fact that while Chicago and the state of Illinois have some of the toughest gun laws in the nation, those laws have done NOTHING to prevent a staggering amount of gun crime?!

Simply put, so even politicians and the liberal media can understand, gun laws will not stop a determined killer from perpetrating his crime. Bad people don’t get background checks and gun law only impact good people. The only thing that will put a dent in these kinds of crimes is to stop talking about the losers who perpetrate them; one look at the social media profiles of these assholes and you will more often than not see mentions of the losers who proceeded them down this path of destruction. We have to stand up and say you were a loser before this and you’ll go to your grave a loser and not achieve the fame you seek. This will go a long way to eliminating the copycat mentality.

The second step would be to take down these ridiculous “gun free zone” signs! Put that level of doubt back into the minds of these losers and raise the specter of a potential armed response. Let’s talk publicly and loudly about training people to respond in the event of someone trying to start a mass casualty event. Talk about a message that will have a REAL impact.

$50 Million Per Patient: The High Cost of Healthcare

The New York Times, hardly a bastion of conservative thought, recently published a piece about the virtually empty U.S. built Ebola clinics in the African nation of Liberia. All part of Community Organizer in Chief Barack Obama’s day late response to the Ebola outbreak in the West African country.

Obama you may recall plodded along while, delaying the U.S. response to the epidemic that saw Liberia hit with 9,862 cases of Ebola which left a devastating 4408 dead. The Times reported that Worldwide there were 25,500 cases and 10,500 dead; so clearly Liberia was at the epicenter of the death toll, accounting for nearly half of the dead.

So Obama’s response was to hire a political hack, Democrat strategist, Ron Klain to be the Ebola Czar who departed just a short time into his projected tenure. Next the Community Organizer decided he would send nearly 3000 members of the military to help set up 11 Ebola Treatment Units (ETU). The United States outlay for this adventure was $1.4 billion.

So…how many patients did this project treat? How Many lives did it save? The grand total is 28. No that’s not a typo…28! Do the math; that works out to be $50 million per patient. These people spend so much time worry about the optics/politics of things that they delayed the response until after the epidemic had peaked.

This should be yet another glaring example of how wrong all those folks who believe that the government has all the answers or solutions to problems. The local, more nimble and largely privately funded response proved to be not only more effective, but also less expensive. Imagine these are the clowns who voted to take over a huge segment of our economy and put themselves in charge of our healthcare.

Government is a large, lumbering, slow moving mess that is not equipped to deal with anything in a timely or effective manner. Private enterprise is a clear cut more effective and cost effective manner for addressing major problems.

Kim Ghattas – The Secretary (Times Books)

The publicity blurbs for this book are laced with terms like: eye-opening, revealing, poignant, gripping, terrific, vivid, colorful, candid, fast-paced and substantive. Touting unprecedented access to a sitting Secretary of State, The Secretary: A Journey With Hillary Clinton from Beirut to the Heart of American Power from BBC, State Department radio and TV correspondent Kim Ghattus promised an intimate portrait of American foreign policy from the top down.

What it delivers is something altogether different. The Secretary reads like two storylines under one cover; the first a jaundiced, “journalist” almost awestruck tale of Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama who approaches things from the point of view that the United States is almost irreparably damaged on the world stage and only Obama and Clinton can fix it. While that may be Ms. Ghattus’ point of view, I think the record of the first term speaks volumes about the inept nature of the Obama foreign policy; makes me long for the day of George W. Bush’s “strategery.”

Second the book spirals away from its proclaimed subject and becomes a screed for the authors world view more than Obama/Clinton doctrine.

It does take long for the fawning to get rolling with the line early on; “Although he had belittled her foreign policy experience during the campaign, Obama knew that only Clinton came with the built-in international stature and credibility that allowed her to instantly board a plane and stand in for him while he fixed the economy at home.” It begs the questions; how’s that working out for you? With the economy continuing to stagnate into the second term. It’s also laughable on its face that a partial term Senator and community organizer could be critical of the foreign policy stance of a one-term Senator, whose foreign policy experience amounted to hosting teas for foreign dignitary’s wives while First Lady.

Ghattas’ liberal plumage is never more on full display than when she gives all of one paragraph of coverage to the 9/11/12 Benghazi, Libya assassination of U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens and as she puts it “three other Americans.” She writes off the fallout from the attack as “partisan criticism” claiming that “Clinton managed to dodge most of the acrimonious attacks.” Only in the twisted mind of a liberal could an epic foreign policy failure and the cover up that followed be couched as partisan! And for the record the three Americans that lost their lives were: Sean Smith, an information management officer, and former U.S. Navy SEALs; Tyrone S. Woods, a senior security specialist and Glen Doherty, a security contactor and former SEAL Sniper.

At this point, only history will bring clarity to the level of foreign policy incompetence of Obama and Clinton and the devastating effect it will have around the globe. Certainly Ms. Gahttas has done nothing to paint a clear picture.

Neil Barofsky – Bailout: How Washington Abandoned Main Street While Rescuing Wall Street (Free Press) Paperback Edition with new foreward

Washington never met an acronym or a program it couldn’t throw at a problem. If the problem is big enough, the remedy seems to be to throw more acronym laden programs at it; not in an effort to fix the problem, but more often than not to merely appear like the problem is being addressed.

Neil Barofsky was nominated as the SIGTARP that was nominated in the waning days of the George W. Bush administration in an effort to ensure against waste, fraud and abuse in the $700 billion TARP program. In English, Barofsky was the lawyer charged with unenviable task of trying to prevent politicians and Wall Street types who were largely responsible for creating the economic circumstances that created the financial mess that necessitated the Troubled Asset Relief Program; more correctly labeled the Wall Street bailout.

In Bailout: How Washington Abandoned Main Street While Rescuing Wall Street Barofsky tries to valiantly to detail the machinations and internal struggles he faced in the push and pull between Washington and Wall Street. The incestuous nature of so many former Wall Street investment bankers retiring to move over to government side of the street to take on high level roles in presidential administrations screams with a fox guarding the henhouse cartoonish quality.

The picture that is painted by Bailout and so many other Washington insider books really makes it crystal clear why the American people have it right when they show an ever increasing distrust and disgust with everything happening in our nation’s capital. Forget about the best and the brightest we are saddled with lowest of the low; people more focused self-preservation and self-promotion than with truly doing what it best for the country and its people.

The insights that Barofsky offers about the nomination process should sicken any taxpayer concerned with our future. Battling against the odds Barofsky, did his noble best to prevent total anarchy from setting in, in a scenario that had the potential to be fraught with fraud and abuse.

This should be treated as a clarion call that in order to truly clean up the mess that has been created by politicians and Wall Street insiders would be to bring in outsiders who are skilled not in the workings of Wall Street/Washington axis, but folks that are skilled forensic accountants and investigators who are focused on bringing real change to real problems. I’m not sure if I should commend Barofsky for his efforts or question his sanity for taking on this insurmountable challenge.

When Liberals Attack

It must be painfully lonely to be a Liberal.

For four decades Bob Woodward has been heralded as one of the true bastions of journalism for his work on the Watergate scandal of the Nixon administration, as half of the dynamic duo of Woodward and (Carl) Bernstein.

Woodward has continued to crank out regular investigative columns and bestselling books chock full of insider accounts and sources. He has been a regular target for complaints from conservatives and often scorned for being a central figure in the liberal media.

Now that Woodward has correctly called the Obama administration on their ongoing lies about who is the responsible for the so-called “sequester” mess and then let it be known that senior administration officials had contacted him and suggested that he would “regret” making those comments calling out the Obama-ites, liberal are in full attack mode on their one-time hero.

Liberal media types and even Obama administration types have labeled Woodward everything from a liar, to old, and even suggested he is “senile.” I thought liberals we for protecting seniors? Apparently that kind, caring false-façade only matters until you piss them off, then all bets are off.

This is just another example of the true colors of a liberal; while they attack conservatives as being mean-spirited, it is they who would truly stop at nothing to attack those that they see as a threat. Once you've crossed that line, you are on your own!

David Fredosso – Spin Masters: How the Media Ignored the Real News and Helped Reelect Barack Obama (Regnery Books)

David Fredosso’s new book Spin Masters: How the Media Ignored the Real News and Helped Reelect Barack Obama is a chapter and verse indictment of the mainstream media and their complicity in not only ignoring the pitiful results of Obama’s first term, but their creation of news and storylines that didn’t exist.

Fredosso recounts one of the most glaring examples of news creation when Democrat operative George Stephanopolis, who collects a paycheck from ABC Propaganda (formerly ABC News) and his promulgation of the “war on women” and badgering of Mitt Romney about his “plan” to ban birth control. Anyone who was truly paying attention and had an IQ above room temperature knew that there was no such “plan” or even thought process, even from the most pro-life Republican candidate Rick Santorum.

Fredosso makes the case that the media went far beyond debate moderator Candy Crowley of CNN’s inserting herself into the debate between Romney and Obama by ignoring countless high profile issues that were part and parcel of Obama’s first term including; terrible economic numbers, wasteful government spending that contributed to a huge increase in the national debt, serious abuses of power like the so-called recess appointments, despite  the fact Senate was still in session and the utter mishandling of the Benghazi attack.

Anyone in their right mind who gave serious consideration to Obama’s first term has to conclude that he ranks among the worst Presidents in U.S. history, who has done serious if not irreparable harm to the country, yet in the media vacuum and echo chamber, he still managed to get re-elected.

Fredosso’s detailing of the media’s malpractice should be a clear signal to the inept Republican party and to those who care about the future of this country, that if we are ever going to pull out of the tailspin created by two terms of Obama, then they will have to make significant progress on improving their methods of communication and making an impact on the American public. If that does not come to pass then the stupid masses will continue to be lead around by the nose by the media and continue to reelect the worst possible candidates.

Richard Minitier – Leading From Behind (St. Martins Press)

The President of the United States is often referred to as the “leader of the free world.” The underlying premise of award winning, investigative journalist Richard Minitier’s latest best seller Leading From Behind” is an examination of the leadership skills of President Barack Obama.

 

Minitier examines Obama’s quick rise to the highest office in the land and dissects Obama’s leadership, notably on some very high profile issues like debt/taxes, healthcare, and foreign policy issues like killing Bin Laden and Israel..

While the so-called “Affordable Care Act” has been labeled one of Obama’s signature first term achievements, Minitier makes the case that Obama amounts to nothing more than an absentee landlord when it came to getting the heavy lifting done on getting the bill passed. While it is the legislative branches purview to write and pass legislation, it is the President who often drives the bus on what they deem to be pet projects or legislation.

Certainly healthcare reform was front and center on the Obama agenda when he took office in 2009. Yet when it came to deliver the goods on a reform plan, Obama bailed and left the heavy lifting to then House Speaker, Nancy “we have to pass the bill to find out what’s in it” Pelosi.

If you have any working knowledge of Obama’s brief exploits in elective office where he made of habit of not taking a stand, not leading and not voting or voting present. In the Illinois state house, Obama voted present 129 times during his tenure. The folks at  govtrack.org place Obama at the mid-low point, if albeit to the far left end of the spectrum when it came to leading on legislation in his two grueling years in the U.S. Senate. Obama chose to sit back while old dog Democrats like Reid, Feinstein, Kennedy, Clinton, Biden, and Specter took the legislative lead.

A quick look at “key” votes in 2008 (according to Project Vote Smart) Obama, a man of the people who claims to care about the middle class, he did not vote on legislation ranging from; Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEP), funding for AIDS/TB/Malaria prevention, a Medicare Bill, Housing foreclosure assistance program and an economic stimulus plan, among others.  

During the 2008 Presidential campaign some pundits were critical about Obama’s lack of experience and his voting record as his desire to pursue higher office and not want to leave a trail or record to have called into question. Minitier however points to a guy not so concerned with being on the record, but the exact opposite of a leader; a guy who is disinterested, rick averse and generally believes he is above it all.

Leading From Behind paints a Barack Obama as a guy who truly believes that he was elected President and he should get everything he wants; someone who confuses Presidents with dictators. It clearly seeps through his approach to leadership, to dictate without having to do the heavy lifting of actual governing. Actual governing can and should pawned be off on others that are beneath him; hence his passing the real work off to others, mostly women. Given the tenor of his campaign’s claims that Republicans are engaging in a “war on women” it makes you wonder about Obama’s attitudes toward women when they are positioned as mere work horses.

Who's the Biggest Jizzbag?!

Not sure if it's the election inching ever closer or what, but the whack-a-mole Liberals seem to be getting nuttier by the second. Some comments they're making have me wondering who the biggest liberal jizzbag is.

Joe Biden

Liberals love to pass off the nearly continuous gaffs of Vice President Joe Biden as "Joe being Joe" but the more this guys does and says the more I wonder if the soon to be 70 year old is in the early stages of dementia or just plan batshit crazy!

Recently Biden was among the contingent of President Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton who met with families of the victims of the terrorist attacks in Libya...let me repeat that to be perfectly clear; VICTIMS OF THE TERRORIST ATTACK IN LIBYA. Biden approached Charles Wood, the father of Tyrone Wood, who heroically tried to rescue the Ambassador to Libya, and asked Mr. Wood "did your son always have balls the size of cue balls/"

Ted Turner

CNN founder, environmental wingnut, and certifiable loon Ted Turner appeared on Piers Morgan's CNN mess recently and since no one watches, I fugured you'd need to see this amazing clip of this batshit crazy Liberal commenting that he's happy that more American soldiers are commiting suicide than are dying in war.

Not sure what this ass clown is doing these days, but if he's selling something, product or service he deserves to be boycotted and put out of business! This jizz needs to be taught a lesson and treated the worst way possible and for him that is to be ignored!

Paul Krugman

New York Times columnist and alleged economist Paul Krugman recently told the Liberal Huff Po folks; “I think there’s a real chance that [Romney will] manage to pursue a policy in the first couple of years that simultaneously blows up the deficit and depresses the economy.”

Has this guy been sleeping for the past four years? Of course what would expect from the clown who said that Obama's economic stimulus plan failed, because it wasn't large enough!

The Mainstream Media Wouldn’t Know a Gaffe if it Bit Them on the Butt

If you are among the deluded who still believe what the mainstream media serves up, then Republican presumptive Presidential nominee, Mitt Romney’s oversees jaunt was a gaffe-fiesta and the candidate is a bungler who can’t seem to manage to avoid stepping on his own manhood.

But it’s my contention that the mainstream media wouldn’t recognize an actual gaffe if it walked up a bit it on their collective ass!

Romney has been excoriated by the Palestinian toady’s in the press for his comment about Jerusalem being the capital of Israel. This despite the fact in 1995 the 104^th  U.S. Congress passed into law the Jerusalem Embassy Act (Senate 95-3 and House 374-37) which initiated the funding and process of moving the U.S. Embassy to the capital of Israel, Jerusalem.

Despite the fact that Presidents Clinton, Bush and Obama have ignored the law, it still exists! The most amazing thing is that the press ignores the FACT that then candidate Obama, while speaking to the pro-Israel group the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) said basically the same thing:

"[A]ny agreement with the Palestinian people must preserve Israel's identity as a Jewish state, with secure, recognized, and defensible borders. Jerusalem will remain the capital of Israel, and it must remain undivided."

Olympics Gaffe

The media also took Romney to task over his comments in London about the preparedness of the Olympic committee for the then forthcoming  Summer games. Oddly enough, a week prior to Romney’s comments the British press was delivering front page stories saying exactly the same thing!

The Brit press reported that nearly half of those polled believed that the security of the games was a still unanswered question! The mainstream media is so in the tank for the Obama reelection campaign, desperately seeking anything to prop this clown up.

Equally the handful of conservative media outlets are misguided when they continue to label Obama’s “you didn’t build that” comment as a gaffe. That was no gaffe, that was how this guy actually feels about business and business owners.

The Community Organizer in Chief thinks that business owners didn’t really work hard to build their success, they were simply the winners of a government infrastructure lottery. This thought process is so specious and the media’s attempt to spin this as Obama referring to roads and bridges, it’s laughable! If success was dependent upon roads and bridges, then way do businesses fail? Unfortunately more often than not the culprit is faulty business plans or government regulatory over-reach that dooms business…not a pothole in the road!

The Communist – Paul Kengor, Ph.D. (Mercury Ink)

“You may know a man by the company he keeps” – Proverb

There have been many variations of this proverb…you may have heard it as “judge a man by the company he keeps.”

Best-selling author/scholar Dr. Paul Kengor really makes no judgments in his new book The Communist, an accounting of self-proclaimed communist Frank Marshall Davis and his mentoring of a young, would be President, Barack Obama.

When you stack this carefully researched, detailed and notated book alongside the President’s relationship with domestic terrorist turned college professor Bill Ayers and his wife, fellow Weather Underground terrorist, Bernadine Dohrn and the Reverend Jerimiah “God Damn America” Wright it makes for a thought provoking portrait of those who influenced the development of President Obama’s political mindset.

Aside from not reading the book, slinging the usual mud and name-calling, Kengor’s detractors will undoubtedly try to minimize the level of influence that Davis had on the young Obama, and will shout about the dangers of “guilt by association.” Those complaints don’t stand up to scrutiny, when you know that Obama himself regularly referenced the influence “Frank” had in his life in his autobiographical memoir “Dreams From My Father”.

So who was Frank Marshall Davis? Kengor details Davis’ life from a youth growing up in racially constricted Kansas, to his becoming (literally) a card-carrying member of the Communist Party USA (#47544 based on his FBI file) a Communist sympathizing columnist and mentor to Barack Obama. In the prophetic final line Kengor rightly proclaims; “The people who influence our Presidents matter.”

Kengor extensively details the brutal racism that Davis was subjected to and speculates that it may have moved Davis to the dark side and a ripe candidate to be attracted to communism. Davis became a community activist, not only through his columns for the Chicago Red Star newspaper, but also as a labor movement activist.

Davis Influencing Obama

The most striking part of The Communist is what I can only describe as the constricting, concentric circles that seem to surround President Obama; the incredible “coincidences” and crossing of paths between Davis and those who continue to influence the President and his decision making process. The Valarie Jarrett’s and David Axelrod’s of the world.

Davis’ influence is clear.

What would motivate a newly elected President, in one of his first acts in office, to return a bust of British Prime Minister Winston Churchill; a gift from one of our staunchest allies, that held a place of honor in the George W. Bush Oval Office? A quick read of Davis’ scathing writings on Churchill might be a good indication to the cause of this bizarre move.

Davis’ formula for economic recovery in the 1940s may seem familiar with his Qbama-esque “public works projects” (shovel ready jobs), anti-Wall Street “big business” and “wealth redistribution” writings.

While Obama decries “tax cuts for the rich”, Frank Marshall Davis decried “GOP would spare the rich with (a)20 percent tax cut plan”…January 11, 1947! Is it any wonder that Conservatives say that the Democrat party have no new ideas?! Davis and the Red Star regularly accused Republicans of wanting to “hurt the poor and pad the wallets of the rich…with phony tax cuts that only benefit the rich and corporations.” Sound familiar?

One of Davis’ favorite target of scorn was General Motors. He regularly derided GM’s wealth and referred to GM leadership as “General Motors Hitlers.” Obama “saved GM” by nationally the company and seizing control with the government bailout. Davis favored redistribution of wealth to have “healthcare for everybody.” The crippling financial and healthcare meltdown we face due to Obamacare is still to come.

Is Barack Obama a Communist? I will suggest you follow Kengor’s advice; read the book and decide for yourself. Is he misguided politically and has he been negatively influenced by the company he keeps?  In my opinion…without question.   

I thought Obamacare was about “free” healthcare for everyone? Apparently I misunderstood…because based on their recent comments the Democrat party is now, suddenly concerned about the transfer of wealth and the Obamacare bill was really about government forcing personal responsibility.

Here is a small sampling of the new look, Democrat leadership’s comments to the media:

“This is a penalty on free riders,” said Senator Chuck Schummer (D-NY)

It’s not a tax on the American people,” House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said Sunday on NBC’s “Meet The Press.” “It’s a penalty for free riders.”

 “This penalty says you cannot be a free-rider,” White House chief of staff Jack Lew told Fox News.

“[W]e shouldn’t have free riders in the system who drive up everyone’s healthcare [costs],” Obama campaign strategist David Axelrod said on MSNBC’s Morning Joe.

"When it came to championing the health care legislation, President Obama made sure that although everybody -- the vast majority of Americans have health insurance coverage, we want to make sure that if you're a free rider, if you roll the dice and get sick and use the emergency room as your primary access point for health care. Those health care costs are going to get shifted to all of us. And if you choose not to carry health insurance, this legislation says you're going to pay a small penalty so that we don't have to pay for you rolling the dice," DNC chair and Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.) said on MSNBC today.

“The massive so-called tax increase they’re talking about is the freeloader penalty,” Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley (D) said on CBS’ “Face The Nation, “which would affect at most 1-2 percent of people that could afford health care and instead want to be freeloaders on the rest of us with uncompensated care.”

Seriously…do these asshats really think that anyone is buying this? This is the best they can concoct to try to defend our clueless President who arrived in office by proclaiming that no one earning $200,000 or less would be subject to a tax increase? How does this TAX increase, help to reduce the cost of healthcare?

Here’s a hint…IT DOESN’T!! These drooling morons don’t quite grasp the fact that people who can afford health insurance, but choose not to buy it aren’t what’s driving up the cost of healthcare! Those people will receive a bill from their hospital or physician and here’s a unique concept, they will be expected to pay for the service they receive!

It’s those people that Obama and his ilk claim they are “helping” with this flawed legislation, those who don’t have or can’t afford health insurance that jack up the costs! Edward Klein – The Amateur – Barack Obama in the White House (Regnery Books)

When he was elected, I labeled the Barack Obama presidency the “second term of Jimmy Carter” and I could not have been more right! The similarities are striking! The hallmark of both the Carter and Obama administrations is economic turmoil, global unrest and glaring ineptitude on the part of the President to address any of the pressing issues facing the nation.

What’s the old saying is a man is judged by the company he keeps? Here is yet another striking similarity between Obama and Carter. As Edward Klein points out in his latest book The Amateur – Barack Obama in the White House Obama, much like Carter came to Washington with almost no leadership experience and surrounded by an equally neophyte group of advisors.

Carter surrounded himself with likes of rookie political strategist Hamilton Jordan, corrupt businessman Bert Lance, former community organizer Andrew Young and liberal academic Zbigniew Brzezinski. Obama has repeated that mistake selecting a cadre of the ill-equipped, inexperienced and downright clueless senior staffers. Washington, DC and the White House is no place for a huge learning curve.

Klein runs down an almost frightening resume of ineptitude on the part of Obama’s primary advisor Valerie Jarrett; who’s only apparent claim to fame is her ability to “fail upward.” She started her political career as the “public black face” of Chicago Mayor Richard Daily. Despite screwing up as a “city planner” and costing Chicago millions in funding, she managed to land on her feet taking on the role of executive director of a public housing project, with a salary and deferred compensation in excess of three quarters of a million dollars.

The role of these senior advisors is to guide any President around the pitfalls that confront them on a daily basis. Klein outlines Jarrett’s seemingly self-centered focus; more concerned with conserving and protecting her power rather than aiding Obama. Either blinded by loyalty or cowed by his own stupidity, Obama has been able to grasp the shortfall in his own team.

While his status as a card-carrying amateur is certainly glaring when it comes to dealing with the mounting economic issues facing the country, Klein points out that Obama’s ineptitude is never more dangerous than in the national security front. Clearly Obama lack of real world experience and his allegiance to an almost childlike world view fostered by liberal academics has led to him on a global, apology tour of the Middle East, Asia and Europe.

This lead from behind approach has led to the glaring mishandling of hot spots like; Egypt, Libiya, Yemen, and Syria, among others. He continues to send muddled, incoherent messages on what role he believes the United States should play in world affairs.

It is Obama’s reliance on an organizational chart, top-heavy with un-vetted czars and his apparent boxing out of advice from those members of his Senate confirmed, Cabinet members that is striking.

The best example of his apparent tone-deafness is illustrated by his endless rounds of golf, to date over 100 rounds, and he and First Lady Michelle Obama’s high-priced taste when it comes to world travel and high end vacation spots. At a time when the much of the country is hurting and nearly half of U. S. households are cueing up for food stamps, the Obama’s jet set lifestyle isn’t sitting well with the average taxpayer. The defense coming from amateur advisors that “the President deserves a vacation” rings very hollow. No one would begrudge the President a break, but over 100 rounds of golf?

The Amateur – Barack Obama in the White House is a scathing indictment and a solid case for sending this collection of rank amateurs packing back to Chicago.

Jan Brewer – Scorpions for Breakfast: My Fight Against Special Interests, Liberal Media, and Cynical Politicians to Secure America’s Border (Broadside Books)

This is not a typical political biography, but the story of what spurred the Arizona law known as SB 1070 – Support our Law Enforcement & Safe Neighborhood Act.

Article IV – Section 4 of the U.S. Constitution imposes on the Federal Government the duty to “protect each [State] against invasion…domestic violence.” At its best, the federal government selectively enforces our laws with regard to protecting our borders and immigration. That lack of protection and the violence and high costs that have become part and parcel of life along our southern border spurred Arizona to action.

The Arizona law has been labeled racist and worse, but that can be said of just about anyone or anything that disagrees with President Obama. What it really boils down to is a fundamental difference in the interpretation of the Constitution and private property rights. Brewer correctly believes that citizens have the Constitutional right to be safe on their property.

Brewer outlines not only the negligence of the Federal government for not enforcing our border security, but their complicity in the death (in Arizona) of border patrol agent Brian Terry. It was the Obama administration failed program known as Fast and Furious, in which the Justice Department, under the failed leadership of Attorney General Eric Holder, that allowed 2020 weapons to be purchased and funneled to Mexican drug cartels on the border. One of those weapons was used in Agent Terry’s murder.

Brewer quotes Cochise County Sheriff Larry Dever’s testimony to the Senate Homeland Security Committee; “We cannot sit by while our citizens are terrorized, robbed, and murdered by ruthless and desperate people who enter our country illegally.

In contrast, Obama and his ilk would have you believe that every illegal – or as they dub them, undocumented – alien is a hard working family man with a wife and two small children, he is desperately trying to feed, clothe and put a roof over.

Holder highlighted his incompetence in exchange with Texas Congressman Ted Poe, where he admitted that he hadn’t actually read the 10-page law – but that hadn’t prevented him from publically and with some regularity stating his opinion that the law was unconstitutional.

Holder would later be joined by Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano and State Department spokes-weasel P J Crowley, two more members of the Obama administration who criticized the Arizona law that were forced to admit publically that they hadn’t bothered to read the law before registering their public denunciations of it.

This amazing account not only spells out Brewer’s courageous fight to secure and protect the people of Arizona, but serves to highlight the utter incompetence of the Obama administrations law enforcement and Homeland Security leadership.    

Who’s the Real Fake? Ron Paul…

One of the most laughable segments of last night’s Republican debate from Arizona was Congressman Ron Paul’s explanation for calling frontrunner Rick Santorum a “fake”.

Citing Santorum’s spending and votes in Congress as evidence that he was not nearly as conservative as he may appear. “No one accuses me of voting for too many bad bills,” Rep. Paul added, he is often criticized for refusing to vote on any bill as part of his philosophy.

There’s the rub. While Congressman Paul loves to proclaim that he’s never voted in favor of a earmark, it hasn’t stopped the so-called “Dr. No” from requesting and delivering piles of earmark cash for his Texas district. Paul lards the pork barrel earmarks onto bills then turns around and votes against the bill that he knows will pass, thereby claiming safe cover from critics.

Paul’s own website lays out his requests for $157 million in earmarks for fiscal year 2011 and $398 million in 2010. Congressman Paul’s list of earmarks reads like a page out of Community Organizer in Chief Obama’s playbook. The highlights include:

• $2.5 million from taxpayers to modify medians and sidewalks for an "Economically Disadvantaged" area.

• $38 million in multiple requests for literacy programs to "encourage parents to read aloud to their children."

• $11 million from federal taxpayers for a "Community-Based Job Training Program."

• $1.2 million for a "Low-income working families Day Care Program"

• $2 million from federal taxpayers for a "Clean Energy" pilot project


So this is what Congressman Paul passes off as “REAL” conservatism?!

Where is the Outrage?!

What’s Another $150 Billion in Debt…
The House, the Senate and President Obama have painted themselves into a corner once again, passing and signing off on yet another $150 billion in new debt in the form of an extension of the so-called payroll tax cut, before the two month Bandaid they passed late last year runs out.
Not only did they add to the already insurmountable debt but they added to the looming short fall in funding of Social Security. I continue to be amazed by the roll over and play dead Obama media that doesn’t bat an eye about this defunding of, to use the Liberal terminology, “America’s safety net”.
Instead we get bombarded by lines like allowing this cut to expire would be “a tax increase on the poor and middle class.” What happened to all of the indignant Democrat voters who wanted to string up then Senator Rick Santorum for having the nerve to suggest that taxpayers be allowed to take the exact same amount of their Social Security money, 2% and invest it as they see fit for their future retirement? They made it seem like that 2% was the difference between Grandma having a roof over her head and being out on the street.

A serious question comes to mind; when will it be acceptable to put the 2% payroll tax back in place? We simply can’t continue to under-fund the Social Security account and expect it to survive. One of the biggest contributing factors to Santorum losing the election was the scare tactics the Democrats rolled out regarding Social Security and now they are doing something even worse and completely removing the money from the system.
And for what? You’ll hear the bullshit and lies that this money will stimulate the economy and help families; how much impact did the first full year of payroll tax cuts work out for stimulating the economy? Real unemployment, not the bullshit government numbers, but the actual hard numbers that include people who have dropped out of the work force hovers around 15-17%.
Put it in perspective, this cut will put about $40-$50 per month in the average American’s pocket. That equates to a couple of pizza’s or a partially filled gas tank a month! Now let’s take the actual costs to pay for this; the upfront number is about $150 million, but paying back the money we borrowed to do this will cost us a whole heck of a lot more over time. So is it really worth it?


Speaking of the Obama Roll Over and Play Dead Media


With $4 a gallon gasoline looming ever closer and talk of $5 a gallon gas, I’m wondering where all of the Democrat and media outrage over gas prices that we heard during the George W. Bush administration has gone? It seems like all we heard about was the Bush Cheney ties to “Big Oil” and there were calls for investigations of gouging and huge profits taxation for Democrats. But now with the Community Organizer in Chief in office all we get is the sound of crickets.

The fact of the matter is that when Obama took office the price of gas was $1.79 a gallon for regular unleaded, so we have seen the price soar by more than double! The mere talk of the Keystone XL Pipeline caused the price per gallon to drop; then the Community Organizer in Chief blocks the pipeline and what has happened to the price of gas since then?

Speaking of the Obama Roll Over and Play Dead Media – Part 2

Rick Santorum supporter…supporter, not campaign spokesman, Foster Friess makes an old joke and the Obama Roll Over and Play Dead Media gets their panties in a knot and froths at the mouth to express their outrage. The fact that they want to hold Santorum responsible for what a supporter says is absolutely astounding!

The Community Organizer in Chief gets a free pass on comments and acts that are a whole lot more incendiary from his supporters like his Pastor of over 20 years, Rev. Jeremiah Wright, his Green Jobs Czar, Van Jones and his neighbor/co-worker Bill Ayers among others.

It’s absolutely laughable to see MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell getting her granny panties in a bunch during the interview with Friess and then have her co-worker Chris “Tingles” Matthews slurr his outrage and claim that Republicans hate women! This from the guy who called Michelle Bachmann a “balloon head.” I guess for Matthews the fact that Democrats like Bill Clinton who blew his load on the intern and and Ted Kennedy and Chris Dodd’s exploits with waitress sandwiches prove how much Democrats love women!

Can’t wait to see what the Rev. Al Sharpton, a guy who gives Ed Shultz and Rachel Maddow a run for their money for the title of “Dumbest Man on TV” has to say about all this!

Betsy Myers - Take The Lead (Atria Books)

Ms. Myers was the COO of the Barack Obama presidential campaign and chaired the Women for Obama campaign organization in the last election cycle. She has served as the executive director of the Center for Public Leadership at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government. She, like her sister Dee Dee, was a senior official in the Clinton administration, working as the President’s advisor on women’s issues; women’s issues… not the President’s issues with women…I’ll leave it to you to fill in your own punch line.

Suffice it to say that Myers has tackled some high profile, high powered leadership roles. Yet I find her book, Take the Lead, as not so much a leadership book, but rather a set of what she describes as 7 core principles, that she wraps with political anecdotes as an example of those principles in practice.
Myers 7 principles include:

• Connection – Making people feel seen and heard

• Collaboration – Being willing to embrace different points of view

• Authenticity – Knowing who you are

• Respect – Treating each person as important

• Clarity – laser focus and uncompromising consistency

• Learning - always listening and staying open to new ideas

• Courage – The courage to take risks; to apologize; to tell the truth; to grow

This could be the most contradictory list I have ever seen. Taking Ms. Myers at her own words, how can you be willing to embrace different points of view and be open to new ideas, yet remain uncompromisingly consistent? Does this say more about my Myers background in the political realm then about leadership?

Politicians by their very nature are some of the least authentic people I have ever encountered. Realistically speaking, if Barack Obama had been genuinely authentic during his Presidential campaign, does anyone really believe that he would have been elected President?
Boiling it down, Ms. Myers “core principles” aren’t a road map to leadership, but a road map to becoming a Democrat politician. It reads like a playbook for talking a good game, but doesn’t really show how to deliver the goods, which is really what Democrat elective politics have become – make it sound like you care about and issue/person, act like you’re going to do something, but never really deliver on a promise.

It’s interesting that the two powerful leaders that Ms. Myers worked for were so uniquely skilled at connection, yet such utter failures at having the courage to tell the truth. Interesting political insights…maybe. Leadership book…not so much.
